Secco Hydro Crème is a pasty, water-based hydrophobic substance specially developed to make mineral surfaces and mostly non-porous concrete durably water-repellent. This is made 
possible thanks to its high viscosity and long contact time, allowing it to achieve a high level of penetration. For use on horizontal, vertical and overhead surfaces
 

Main Properties 

  • permeable to water vapour
  • practically invisible
  • negligible volatility
  • solvent-free
  • good alkali resistance
  • highly water-repellent effect
  • very high level of penetration
  • can be applied to fresh jointing
  • reduces salt efflorescence, frost damage, mortar leaching, moulds, moss and algae growth and erosion, etc
  • can be applied to relatively moist and warm surfaces 
 

Recommended Uses 

For making brick, concrete, asbestos cement, sandlime brick, joint mortars, aerated concrete etc. water-repellent.
 

Coverage

 
Theoretical: 0.1 - 0.4kg/m2
Practical: Dependent on many factors, such as porosity and roughness of the substrate and material losses during application (see DIN 53220).
 
 

Surface Preparation

The surface should be clean, dry, and free of dirt and grease.
